A national level competition in Nano technology

PSG Nanochallenge is a national level competition on nanotechnology jointly conducted by PSG Institute of Advance Studies (PSGIAS), PSG-STEP and College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE), Albany, USA. The program is sponsored by PSG Institutions, Department of Science and Technology (DST).

PSGIAS being a centre for Nanotechnology research and incubation facility, the product ideas created with the competition can be nurtured to business level products and PSG-Step will provide the necessary support for creating a technology-based business incubation start-up. Dr. Pradeep Haldar, President, Halovation LLC, USA, ( Adjunct Professor in University of South Florida and Fulbright Scholar) is the chief mentor the projects and is the jury for the final event. Invitation to participate is sent to all Institution in India

The finals of a previous national level Nanotechnology competition - PSG Nanochallenge 2019 – was conducted by PSGIAS and PSG-STEP on 11^th Dec 2019. It is the fifth in the series conducted every year to promote ideas and product level technologies in Nanotechnology. There were 14 finalists who presented their idea. The judges were Dr. Pradeep Haldar, Fulbright Scholar, US State Department, Dr. R. Sivasubramanian, PSGIAS and Dr. Gopal Shankar, PSGIAS. Eight contestants won various prizes of eligibility to enter Nidhi-EIR (Rs. 30,000/- per month) / Nidhi-Prayas schemes (Rs. 10 Lakhs grant)

PSG NANOCHALLENGE 2020, the sixth series of Nanochallenge competition is being launched with registrations starting by second week of Dec 2020 and the finals are scheduled during third week of June 2021. Apply online through the links in websites http://www.psgstep.org/ or http://www.psgias.ac.in/
