The Keep That Same Energy (KTSE) Youth Initiative invites young people to learn, engage, and lead a call to action for racial equity for all. This initiative seeks to inspire and train leaders who will create opportunities in which all people can thrive in regenerative and equitable communities. In the fall of 2020, KTSE is inviting young people from across the southeast to come together, break bread and talk about the inequities we are all seeing and experiencing as a result of COVID-19 and this years election implications. Join us for a virtual changemakers party. Join the fight today!

Special presenters - The 2020 - 2021 K.T.S.E. Ambassadors

The Just Energy breakout session will be an interactive, “bottom-up” storytelling activity that will last an hour and a half. We will ground this activity in creating a safe and vulnerable space for attendees to share their personal stories on how energy has shown up in their own life, and in the lives of their community. This will be a space to share personal experiences of how attendees have seen energy “work” in their daily lives, and how energy service has affected them negatively or positively.

Special guest- Nathaniel Smith, CEO of Partnership for Southern Equity

In this last installment of the series, youth leaders will be able to share some inspiring stories of the good they have seen and the changes that are already being born. Additionally, we will all hear from Nathaniel Q. Smith, the Founder and Chief Equity Officer of Partnership for Southern Equity as he imparts some wisdom on us all to go forth and be the change we want to see in the world.

  • What's the Tea?: Youth, Equity, and the Coronavirus

During this virtual conversation, youth leaders from around the southeast will give their 'reports from the field' about what they have seen and experienced in the wake of COVID-19. What does their community look like? What equity issues have been exacerbated by the pandemic? What action (or lack thereof) have city and state governments taken to slow the spread?
