ISPRS WG II/8 International Workshop 

“Photogrammetric and computer vision techniques for infraStructure monitoring,

Biometrics and Biomedicine” – PSBB25

Photogrammetric and computer vision methods for environmental and infrastructure monitoring, biometrics, biomedical imaging, and diagnostics have attracted growing attention in recent years. Nowadays, such interdisciplinary collaboration is essential for providing new developments and tools in this area. 

The 6th International Workshop “Photogrammetric techniques for infrastructure monitoring, biometrics and biomedicine” is intended to offer presentations and discussions platform of novel achievements in photogrammetric and computer vision researches in this scientific area. 

This workshop is the sixth in a row after the successful editions in 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023. This year PSBB25 is organized by ISPRS WG II/8, State Research Institute of Aviation System (GosNIIAS, Russia), Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT, Russia).

We invite researchers to submit their original contributions, as well as demonstrations of successful applications under (but not limited to) the following technical areas: 

The Workshop topics:

• environmental and infrastructure monitoring 

• change detection and analysis 

• image classification

• image segmentation and vectorization

• monitoring of cultural heritage sites

• multi-scale and time-series analysis

• big data analysis for environmental and infrastructure monitoring 

• human body 3D modelling, measurement and shape analysis

• human motion 3D capturing and analysis

• human action detection and recognition: gesture recognition, crowd analysis, behavior estimation

• medical imaging, visualization and systems

• vision-based computer-aided diagnostics

• virtual and augmented reality

• image analysis and photogrammetric applications for biometry and biomedicine

• deep learning for environmental monitoring and biomedicine 

Important Dates:

Abstract due date: 09 March 2025

Authors notification: March 31, 2025

Camera ready paper due date: April 30, 2025

Workshop dates: June, 09-11, 2025

Abstract submission:

Abstracts for PSBB25 should be 1000-1500 words (approximately 1-2 pages of single-spaced 12 point font). Please use ISPRS template when preparing your abstract. Authors are encouraged to include figures and diagrams to illustrate the concepts outlined in the abstract. Please download your abstract before 09 March 2025 using workshop submission website. The accepted submissions based on abstracts, formatted according to the ISPRS template, will be published in the ISPRS International Archives of Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences (ISPRS Archives). The ISPRS Archives are indexed in Web of Science and SCOPUS.

Registration fee is 120 euro, 80 euro for students and PhD students .

Workshop format: 

To provide wide possibilities for participation ISPRS PSBB23 workshop will be organized as a hybrid event, including onsite sessions and virtual sessions. Participants, who cannot present their paper in-person, will have possibility to give the presentation online. Working language of the workshop is English.
