Juanita was born in Suriname, a small country in South America known for its rich culture and natural beauty. It is a peaceful place with a strong sense of community, where many different cultures live together in harmony. Growing up in that environment shaped me into someone who is calm, grounded, and respectful.

Juanita grew up in Saint‑Laurent‑du‑Maroni, a town in French Guiana along the Maroni River. It is a place where different cultures meet, creating a strong sense of community and identity. Life there is simple and closely connected to nature, with a calm rhythm that keeps people grounded.

I lived there until 2011. I went to school and learned the French language, but finding work was difficult. People often told me I was “too slow” for the jobs available, and the only work I could get was babysitting once or twice a week. Life there brought many challenges, but also moments of joy. Those years shaped me, teaching me resilience, patience, and the ability to keep going even when things were not easy.

Juanita lives in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands — a city known for its canals, bicycles, and open atmosphere. Life here is organized yet relaxed, with people from many different cultures living side by side. There is a balance between movement and calm, where everything flows but nothing feels rushed. Living here teaches you independence, structure, and respect for space and time.

Hi, my name is Juanita Deborah Hek, born on 25‑04‑1986.

I am a calm, grounded, and steady person. I don’t like confusion — I like clarity. I speak honestly and directly, but always with respect and purpose. I value truth, and I try to communicate in a way that is sincere and meaningful.

Sometimes, when I am disappointed or deeply hurt, my words may come out sounding harsh. It is never my intention to offend anyone. It’s simply how my emotions express themselves in the moment. I am still learning, still growing, and always trying to speak with more softness and understanding.

And when something cannot be settled with words, I choose silence. I step back, give it time, and let days pass. Silence helps me stay calm, reflect, and avoid saying things I don’t mean. It is my way of protecting peace — both mine and others’.

At my core, I am someone who listens before speaking, someone who observes deeply, and someone who focuses on what truly matters. My strength is quiet, my heart is sincere, and I always try to bring peace, honesty, and authenticity into every situation.

When I preach, I step into a different part of myself — the part that God has called and anointed. In my everyday life, I am calm, quiet, and grounded. But when I preach, something rises in me. I become bold, strong, and full of fire.

I shout, I pray with power, and I sing from a deep place inside my spirit. It feels as if I am no longer speaking by myself — it feels like God is using my voice. My preaching is not gentle; it is passionate. It carries weight, emotion, and urgency.

When I am in that moment, I am fully surrendered. I don’t think — I flow. I don’t hold back — I pour out. It is a different side of me, but it is still me… the spiritual me, the called me, the anointed me.

My story

Hello, my name is Juanita.

I was born in Paramaribo, Suriname, and raised by my mother — a woman whose strength carried our entire family. She had four children: one son and three daughters. I never knew much about my father, so my mother became everything to me. She was my mother, my father, my protector, and my example of courage.

My childhood in Suriname lasted from ages four to twelve. After that, life took us to French Guiana, where I lived from thirteen to seventeen. My mother worked tirelessly to keep us going. She did whatever she could — parking attendant, restaurant server, vendor at events, cleaner — anything that would put food on the table. Life was not easy for her, but she never stopped fighting for us. Because of health issues, she is no longer with us, but her strength lives in me every single day.

From 2011 to 2025, I lived in the Netherlands. I worked as a cleaner and became skilled in my work. During those years, I also faced my own challenges — obesity, migraines, knee joint pain — but I kept going. I learned basic computer skills, little by little, even when it felt difficult.

Through all of this, one thing remained constant in my life: my love for Scripture. God’s Word has always been my comfort, my teacher, and my strength.

This website was born from that passion — a desire to share the truth of God’s Word, to encourage others, and to create a place where people can grow spiritually at their own pace. A place with no pressure, no judgment, and no walls. Just God, His Word, and a heart that wants to help others find hope again.
