When we realised that our school year was not going to plan, with our A Levels cancelled, we had a sudden abundance of time. Plus, being quarantined at home we were surrounded by media channels broadcasting the grave impacts of the Corona Virus both locally and internationally.
We turned our helplessness and anxiety towards the situation into a plan of action. Because of social distancing friendships and relationships have been strained as people are isolated on a scale like never before.
So, we brainstormed ideas on how we can help, and came up with the idea of sending handwritten cards. Since we're in a digital age, receiving mail from each other has become a sort of novelty which we thought would connect people during this difficult time.

Crossroads foundation is a non-profit organisation based in HK. They offer 4 main services. Aiming to provide aid and relief across 90 countries worldwide, they tackle disaster situations, and populations living in extreme poverty.
They work with local NGOs in multiple countries, passing on donations of quality goods and services through their Global Hands service.
As a response to the Covid-19 outbreak, Crossroads donates masks, sanitisers, medical caps, protective clothing and epidemic preventative materials to those unable to afford them.
We've decided to specifically work with them because of their local presence, but also international effort, and with the virus being a global pandemic, thought it would be best suited.
