THURSDAYS, 6:30 - 9:15PM // English 235
I'm Garrard Conley, your instructor for Creative Nonfiction (I also call it literary nonfiction--it goes by many names). I'm so glad you're here!
This class will teach you various nonfiction genres, introduce you to a new workshop model, provide you with a writing community that may last well beyond the class, and prepare you for the journey of publication and literary citizenship.
By exploring and writing in these genres, you will learn how to communicate effectively in multiple ways that will prepare you for just about anything you want to do in the future.
I'm also a big fan of anything that makes these virtual spaces seem more inviting, and nothing is more inviting to me than a erudite cat in a bow tie meowing into the void of a computer screen on an infinite loop (above). Feel free to channel this cat.
