Thanks Chris and Armeen. For benefit of others, I went back to my PB 12.6 install and got it from there. The problem with the SAP approach for current version of SQL Anywhere is from what I can see, they do not have a developer edition available. I had previously followed the link Chris provided and downloaded the trial version of SQL Anywhere. However, my trial expired and I could no longer get to the example applications which is how we are trying to learn the new features to decide if we go down that path. If SAP does not plan on having a true developer edition of SQL Anywhere which does not expire, probably need to seriously consider moving all the Appeon example applications to PostGreSQL so we can trust them to be there when the time comes to need them. Using an open source DB for example applications might allow for you to have more flexibility going forward. I know you had a session on it at elevate. You have plenty of items to be working on so like all of us, not sure where that falls. For now.. community... find your old version of PB and get it from there.

I believe that when you download the trial edition of SQL Anywhere it requires you to register. They will then send you a free developer license to enter into the software. This procedure makes sure they have your name and email address so they can contact you later to buy copies. I was looking and there is an edition for $195 that runs on the client pc.

Unfortunately I don't have an SAP support plan, but is it not necessary for a SQL Anywhere 17 developer edition?I downloaded the developer yesterday, I got version 17.0.4.2053.Chesk for update persistently offers to upgrade to version 17.0.4 build 2182. Perhaps this is not significant.

For some time now developers have been abandoning Firefox in favour of Google's Chrome browser, which has put much of its development effort into creating tools for developers. Firefox fell behind, both in tools available and in developer mindshare.

Recent releases of Firefox have been changing that, though, and this one is no exception. Among the new tools for web developers in this release are an editable box model dialogue, support for Sublime Text keybindings in the code editor and a new global eyedropper tool that makes it simple to grab a colour from anywhere in the browser.

The latter will need to be enabled in the developer tools settings. Look for the option to "Grab a colour from the page" and make sure it's selected. Multi-Region Tables are a new feature that lets users create "read-anywhere" and "write-anywhere" tables that live in multiple regions, where each region is a separate Oracle NoSQL Database store. This is a preview release to give users early access to the new feature. It is not recommended to deploy this version of multi-region tables in a production environment.
