PRSTC Hostel – Privacy Policy

PRSTC Hostel is operated by Prathipati Rangamma Subbaiah Charitable Trust, providing free accommodation services to students from financially weaker families. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the PRSTC Hostel mobile application.

Account Registration

We collect the following information to register and manage your account:

• Meal attendance (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

• Complaints: title, description, category, status, priority

• Leave applications: dates, type, reason, approval status

• Gallery uploads, likes, comments, views

• Push notification device tokens

Uploaded by users for identification.

2. Permissions We Use

• Camera: to upload photos

• Media Library / Files: to upload images

• Microphone: for audio features (if used)

• Supabase – database, authentication, file storage

• Google OAuth – optional login

6. Data Retention

We retain data only for as long as it is required for operational purposes:

• Active account data is retained for the duration of the student's enrollment in the hostel.

• Meal records are stored only for the current day and automatically deleted after the day is completed.

• Notifications are automatically deleted after 7 days.

• Security logs are retained for monitoring and safety purposes for an appropriate operational period.
