History and Approach

Founding members Deborah Phillips, Ron Reynier, and Bill Sumerfield established the firm in 1991. Julie Cline joined the firm as an associate in September of 2007 and became a partner with the firm on January 1, 2012. Deborah Phillips retired in 2023 and Meredith Smith joined the firm in August of 2024.

The firm is dedicated to providing its clients with sophisticated, creative, comprehensive, and effective legal representation in a wide variety of practice areas, including personal injury and family law. As a result of the wide variety of expertise and experience provided by each attorney, the firm is able to address the unique goals and concerns of its highly diverse clients and deliver personalized legal strategies and solutions to meet the individual needs of clients.

The firm is sensitive to clients’ financial constraints and works well within clients’ budgets. Each attorney strives to keep clients informed of all developments during the course of representation.
