What is SCDC?

The local PRCEF advisory board is called the School Community Development Council (SCDC) and represents a broad spectrum of people in the area. Any interested individuals may join the SCDC at any time. The SCDC seeks and administers endowments and other special gifts and bequests for the community. This allows local community organizations to carry out existing projects, to implement new activities and to respond effectively to the challenges and changes impacting the community both now and in the future. If you would like to be added to our mailing list to receive monthly minutes and newsletters please contact us via e-mail or mail or by phone:

Before the SCDC became a non-profit organization in January 1994, community volunteers formed task force groups who were meeting regularly since October 1992. These task force groups helped unite the community in a visioning process, resulting in several projects which improved the appearance of our town of Broadus.
