Introduction
Smart Grocery List ("the App") is a grocery list management application designed to work completely offline, without requiring an account or an internet connection. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles user information.
What data we collect
We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All information entered by the user — shopping lists, items, quantities, notes, and app settings — is stored exclusively on the user's local device, using a local database (Room) and local preferences storage (DataStore).
The App does not require account creation or authentication, does not require an internet connection, does not collect location, contacts, camera, microphone or other sensitive information, does not use analytics/advertising/tracking, and does not share data with third parties.
Permissions used
The App does not request any special system-level permissions beyond the standard ones required for basic app functionality on Android.
Data storage and security
All data remains stored locally in the app's private storage space. It is never synced with any server, cannot be accessed by the developer or third parties, and can be deleted by the user at any time via Settings → "Reset app data", or by uninstalling the app.
Backups
If Android's automatic backup (Google Backup) is enabled, app data may be included in the device's general backup, managed by Android and the user's Google account. The developer has no access to these backups.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children and does not intentionally collect data from users of any age, since it collects no data at all.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated periodically; changes are reflected via the "Last updated" date above.
