En nuestro centro, fomentamos la idea de Europa como un pilar fundamental en nuestra labor educativa. Con un alto porcentaje de alumnado de origen inmigrante, proveniente de países no pertenecientes a la Unión Europea, entendemos la importancia de promover la integración y el entendimiento intercultural.

Desde nuestros inicios, hemos estado comprometidos con esta visión. Comenzamos participando en el programa de Escuelas Embajadoras del Parlamento Europeo y en el concurso "¿Qué sabes de Europa?". Luego, nos sumergimos en un emocionante proyecto Erasmus+ KA1 destinado a la formación de nuestros profesores.

Orgullosamente, obtuvimos la Acreditación Erasmus, marcando el inicio de una serie de proyectos anuales. La inclusión es el eje central de nuestras iniciativas, especialmente relevante en un entorno como el nuestro, que además de ser centro de escolarización preferente para alumnos TEA, enfrenta desafíos significativos en su desempeño.

Destacamos nuestra labor pionera al ofrecer la asignatura optativa de Unión Europea en 4º de ESO. Desde su introducción como asignatura de libre configuración autonómica en la Comunidad de Madrid en 2019, más de 30 alumnos por curso han optado por cursarla, evidenciando el interés y la relevancia de este tema para nuestra comunidad educativa.

Recientemente, hemos sido honrados con una beca de la Acción Jean Monnet, la cual nos ha permitido profundizar en la enseñanza de aspectos relevantes de la Unión Europea a través de docencia y actividades enriquecedoras.

At our school, we see the European dimension as a cornerstone of our educational mission. With a high percentage of students from immigrant backgrounds, many of whom come from countries outside the European Union, we recognise the importance of promoting inclusion, intercultural understanding, and European values.

From the very beginning, we have been committed to this vision. We started by taking part in the European Parliament Ambassador School Programme and the "What Do You Know About Europe?" competition. We then embarked on an Erasmus+ KA1 project focused on the professional development of our teachers.

We are proud to have been awarded Erasmus Accreditation, which has enabled us to carry out Erasmus+ projects on an annual basis. Inclusion is the central pillar of all our initiatives. This is particularly significant in our context, as we are a preferential schooling centre for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and work in an environment that presents important educational and social challenges.

We are also proud to have been one of the first schools in the Community of Madrid to offer the elective subject European Union to Year 10 students (4th year of Compulsory Secondary Education). Since the subject was introduced as part of the regional curriculum in 2019, more than 30 students each year have chosen to study it, demonstrating the growing interest in European affairs within our school community.

More recently, we were honoured to receive a Jean Monnet Action grant, which has enabled us to further strengthen the teaching of European Union topics through innovative lessons and a wide range of enriching activities.
