If you want a robust, over-ear TV headset with extended battery life and high-volume clarity for an adult or child needing to hear every line without lip-sync delay, choose PROW TV Headphones; if you need a compact, in-ear wireless solution that doubles as a charging dock with massive standby time, choose ZohangHorizon Headphones.
• PROW TV Headphones: Strengths include a 50-hour active playback battery, 115dB loudness for hearing enhancement, and a comfortable over-ear design with memory foam; trade-off is the heavier weight (460g) compared to in-ear options. Best for: Families seeking a dedicated, long-lasting TV listening station for adults or older children who prefer over-ear comfort.
• ZohangHorizon Headphones: Strengths include an ultra-long 65-hour maximum playback range, a dual-purpose charging/transmitter dock, and a lightweight in-ear form factor; trade-off is the smaller driver size and lack of specific over-ear cushioning details found in larger models. Best for: Users prioritizing portability, silent square dancing, or classroom use where discreet in-ear wear is preferred.
The PROW TV Headphones are engineered specifically for those who demand volume and clarity without compromising on comfort during long viewing sessions. The standout feature here is the 115dB high-sensitivity speaker capability. This isn't just about getting louder; it is about ensuring that dialogue cuts through background noise, making this an excellent choice for seniors or anyone with weaker hearing who needs to catch every word of a news broadcast or movie plot. The audio driver size of 40 millimeters supports dynamic sound reproduction across a wide frequency range, ensuring that the immersive experience remains intact even when the volume is turned up significantly.
Comfort is a central pillar of this design, particularly for extended wear. The headphones utilize protein leather memory foam ear cups paired with an adjustable metal headband. This combination distributes weight evenly, preventing the pressure points that often plague cheaper over-ear models. The rotatable earmuffs are designed to fit the curve of the head, which is a critical detail for users wearing glasses. If you have ever struggled with the arms of your spectacles digging into your ears after an hour of listening, this specific design element solves that problem. The build materials, including ABS and metal components, suggest a durability that can withstand daily handling, whether by an adult or a responsible teenager.
How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
For the modern household, the connectivity options are comprehensive. Supporting Optical, USB, RCA, and Bluetooth 5.3, this headset bridges the gap between cutting-edge smart TVs and older analog sets. The 2.4G wireless technology is particularly notable for its low latency of just 17 milliseconds. This near-instant transmission ensures that audio stays perfectly synchronized with video, eliminating the frustration of hearing a door slam before seeing it happen. With a straight-line transmission distance reaching 30 meters, you can move freely around the living room or kitchen without losing signal, making it ideal for families who don't want to be tethered to the sofa.
However, this product is not for everyone. At 460 grams, it is heavier than many standard wireless headphones. While the padding mitigates this, a very small child might find the clamping force or weight uncomfortable for prolonged periods compared to a lighter in-ear option. Additionally, the requirement for a specific transmitter dock means you cannot simply pair these via Bluetooth directly with a phone without the base unit for TV mode, though it does support direct Bluetooth connection for other devices. If you are looking for something to tuck away in a pocket for a quick commute, the bulk of the docking station and the over-ear design makes this less practical.
The ZohangHorizon Headphones take a different approach, focusing on versatility and a form factor that fits seamlessly into various environments beyond just the living room. As an in-ear design, these headphones offer a level of discretion and portability that over-ear models simply cannot match. They are constructed from premium engineering plastic, which provides scratch resistance and anti-oxidation properties, suggesting they are built to last through frequent packing and unpacking. The "in-ear" placement means they sit inside the ear canal, creating a natural seal that isolates sound effectively without the bulk of large ear cups covering the entire ear.
Battery performance is where this model truly shines on paper. With a built-in 600mAh battery, the manufacturer claims a playback time ranging from 20 to 65 hours depending on usage conditions, alongside an impressive 400 hours of standby time. This makes it an exceptional choice for users who do not want to worry about charging frequently. Whether you are using them for a marathon gaming session, a long flight, or multi-day travel, the power reserve is substantial. The inclusion of a 2-in-1 charging and transmitter dock simplifies the ecosystem; the base acts as both the signal source and the storage station, ensuring the headphones are always ready and charged when you need them.
The connectivity flexibility is another major selling point for this device. It supports Optical, AUX 3.5mm, and RCA inputs, allowing it to work with almost any electronic device, from old CRT televisions to modern smartphones and tablets. The claim of 100 meters of stable indoor wireless transmission is significant, offering a freedom of movement that exceeds many competitors. This range is particularly useful for larger homes or open-plan offices where signal stability is paramount. The design also explicitly mentions suitability for "silent square dance," indicating a user base that values privacy while engaging in group activities.

My Verdict
Neither of these models are "open ear" headphones; both are closed designs intended for private listening. However, the PROW TV Headphones are an excellent over-ear option for children, offering high volume and comfort suitable for long watching times.
They are designed primarily for audio playback from a TV or other media source.
Pricing fluctuates constantly on retail platforms. Since I cannot verify real-time costs, you should check the current price on Amazon to see if there are any active promotions or bundle deals available today.
The PROW TV Headphones use sound isolation through their over-ear design and large drivers, while the ZohangHorizon relies on the in-ear seal. Both are effective at blocking external noise, but the PROW offers a more physical barrier for the entire ear.
