You don't need to use any of this fancy technology to have a great meeting! If you're not ready and you've only just gotten started on Zoom, I advise that you don't try these things yet. This information will be here when you're ready.
If you're still reading and you feel that mastered the basics and you're ready to get into some of the advanced Zoom offerings... here's some training to help you "spice up" your meetings.
The host or co-host can hover their cursor over the “more” section to the right of the participant’s name and choose “spotlight”.
You can do this for more than one person. When you want to remove the spotlight for that person, chose that option in the “more” menu.
You can also replace one participant with another, which is helpful if one person is giving a testimonial for another person.
Remove the spotlight when you want to go back to Gallery View.
One can also use the “Remove Spotlight” tab that appears in the upper left of the Spotlight person’s image.
ALSO, one may right click on any other person’s image and get to the options, without going into the Participants Tab. The benefit of the Participants Tab is that, in case you do not see the person you want quickly (or they are on Screen 2), you may search by name by simply inputting a few letters of their first or last name into the Participants Search Bar and find them quickly that way.
