This page explains how to request deletion of your Provident account and associated data.
Option 1: In-app (recommended)
Open the Provident app
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
Follow the prompts to confirm deletion
Option 2: Email request (if you can’t sign in)
Email us from the email address linked to your Provident account:
Email: provident.app@outlook.com
Subject: Provident Account Deletion Request
Include:
Your account email (required)
Your username (if you know it)
We may ask you to verify ownership before deleting data.
When your deletion request is completed, we delete:
Account & profile data you provided (e.g., display name, username, bio, social links)
Uploaded images (e.g., receipts/photos you uploaded)
Other app data linked to your account required to provide core app functionality (budgeting features and uploaded content)
We may retain limited data only when necessary:
If required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the app
Encrypted backups may persist for a limited period before being overwritten (typical backup cycling)
Provident uses Supabase to support features like storing and retrieving uploaded images and app data.
