At the Providence College Clock Lab (The Snodgrass Lab for Circadian Biology), we investigate how internal biological clocks keep our bodies in sync- and what happens to human health when those rhythms are disrupted.
Operating at the intersection of neuroscience, metabolism, and systemic physiology, our research explores how central oscillating clocks send output signals to regulate essential functions like cellular respiration, energy balance, and overall health. Using Drosophila, mouse, and rat models, our team of undergraduate researchers works to trace the pathway from molecular biological clocks to measurable outcomes.
