Practice Field:
Practice Fields during the day have been arranged at Central Park East and nearby Bellewood Park. Please contact Mike Losier to arrange a time.
Tie Breakers
Tie Breaker rules are covered in the 2018 Baseball Regulations and Playing Rules book.
Rain
Assuming no rain the games will be played at the times stated. If we encounter rain delays, or there is a threat of heavy rain the schedule will be adjusted to allow for the completion of all games.
Jewelry
Only items alerting to a specific medical condition may be worn on the field. All other items, regardless of composition, must be removed prior to the start of the game. It is best to address this issue prior to being confronted on the playing field when it could disrupt the game or disturb the player.
Gear
Players are advised to carry their own equipment in a carry-on type bag on the airplanes. This prevents stress when bags go missing and no uniform is to be found. Please check with the airlines for any flight changes and additional charges prior to departure.
Repair
All equipment should be checked in advance to ensure it fully complies with Little League regulations and safety standards. You should expect the Umpires to check every piece of equipment.
Birth Certificates / Passports
All persons over the age of 16 require a passport or other approved documents to enter the United States. Passports will be required should you wish to attend a Detroit Tigers game or other activities in the Southeast Michigan area. Please refer to http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca for more information.
First Aid Kits
Medical personnel and first aid equipment will be available at the Tournament Diamond. It is advisable to have a suitable first aid kit with your team equipment in the event of an injury during practice.
Pins
There is a tradition of exchanging pins between teams that play each other during the round robin. Normally these are League pins or District pins or a City/Town pin. Please bring at least 120 to ensure you have enough for up to 8 teams.
Team Accommodations
The St.Clair College Residence (519-966-1601) is the recommended lodging for this tournament. The St.Clair College Residence includes access to basketball courts, running track as well as pool and gym facilities at a reasonable price. Rooms include separate eating and sleeping areas and private baths. It is conveniently located near all tournament events with easy access to highways and the surrounding area. Hotel space is very limited at this time of year as there other local events requiring the use of the space as well.
Meals (new for 2018)
While you are responsible for your own meals during your stay, the Moose Lodge does offer group meals (at the team’s expense) to teams arriving for this tournament. If you choose to take them up on this offer, please contact Dan Batson directly at 529-562-1137 for their menu and arrangements.
