This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Protocol (the "App") handles information. The App is developed and published by CHROME INVESTMENTS LIMITED ("we", "us", "the Developer").
Protocol does not collect, store on our servers, transmit, sell or share any personal data.
The App has no user accounts, no registration, no analytics SDKs, no advertising, no advertising identifiers, no crash-reporting services and no third-party software development kits of any kind.
We do not collect any of the following:
Name, email address, phone number, postal address or any other contact detail
Account credentials, usernames or passwords
Device identifiers, Android Advertising ID (AAID), App Set ID, IMEI or MAC address
IP address or approximate/precise location
Contacts, calendar entries, photos, files, camera or microphone data
Health or fitness data from other apps or platform APIs
Usage analytics, session data, behavioural events or crash logs
Any form of biometric or financial information
Everything you enter into the App — check-in answers, selected tasks, streaks, progress and any notes — is stored locally on your device only, in the App's private storage area.
This data never leaves your device.
We have no access to it and cannot retrieve, read or restore it.
It is not backed up to any server operated by us.
Deleting or uninstalling the App permanently removes this data.
If you have enabled Android's own backup features at the operating-system level, your device may include App data in your personal Google backup. That process is controlled entirely by Google and your device settings, not by us, and is governed by Google's own privacy terms.
The App contains no third-party SDKs, libraries acting as data processors, advertising networks, analytics providers, attribution tools or embedded third-party applications (APKs). No data is transmitted to any third party.
The App does not use Google Play Services for advertising, does not request the AD_ID permission, and does not access any advertising identifier.
The App requests only the permissions strictly required for its functionality. It does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, storage or call logs. If a future version requires an additional permission, its purpose will be explained in-app before it is requested and this policy will be updated.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Because the App collects no data whatsoever, no personal information from children is or can be collected. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the UK Age Appropriate Design Code and the Google Play Families policy.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or erase. All information you create remains under your sole control on your own device and can be deleted by you at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it.
For completeness: if you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR grant you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA grants you rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, and never have. These rights are unaffected but have no practical application to the App, since no personal data is processed.
As no data is transmitted or held by us, there is no server-side data to breach. Information stored on your device is protected by Android's application sandbox and by whatever device-level security (screen lock, encryption) you have enabled.
We may update this Privacy Policy if the App's functionality changes. Any updated version will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes affecting how information is handled will be communicated within the App.
