At Protected Paws, we dedicate time, care, and compassion to make sure every animal finds the perfect forever home. The safety and happiness of the animals in our care are always our top priorities — we never compromise on their well-being.

Step 1: Check You Meet the Criteria

Before applying to adopt, please make sure that:

You can offer a stable, loving, and permanent home

You can afford the ongoing costs of pet ownership, including food, preventative healthcare (like vaccinations, flea and worm treatments), insurance, and vet care

You're ready to welcome an animal as a full member of your family for its entire life

You can provide a safe and secure environment, free from cruelty or neglect

Step 2: Browse Our Animals

Take a look at the animals currently available for adoption. Each one has a unique personality and their own needs — make sure your home and lifestyle are a good match.

Step 3: Submit the Adoption Form

If you’ve found an animal you love — or even if you haven’t but want to register your interest — please complete the adoption form at the bottom of the page. This helps us get to know you better and find the most suitable match.

Please note: Only successful applicants will be contacted.

We receive a high number of applications and carefully match each animal to the most suitable home. If you don’t hear back, it simply means the animal has been matched elsewhere.

All adoptions include a home check via video call.

This is a friendly and informal chat where you can ask questions and we can make sure the animal you’ve chosen is a good fit for your home and circumstances.

What We Provide for Our Animals

Every animal in our care receives:

A full veterinary health check

Microchipping

Flea and worm treatment

Neutering/spaying

First course of vaccinations

Some animals may also need special diets, medications, or complementary and behavioural therapies to recover and thrive.

We are a foster-based rescue, meaning our animals live in foster homes until they are adopted. Many of them come from difficult or neglected situations, and we are committed to making sure they never have to suffer again.
