Staff

Pastor Jason has been the pastor of Prospect Baptist Church since March, 2024. Prior to being our pastor, he served as the interim pastor of Prospect. Before coming to Prospect, Pastor Jason served as pastor of churches in Roane, Loudon, Knox, and Monroe Counties. He was called into the ministry 35 years ago and has been pastoring churches since 1996.

Pastor Jason received his Bachelors from Tennessee Wesleyan College, M.Th. from Liberty University, M.E.d from Lipscomb University, and an earned Doctorate of Ministry in Ministerial Leadership from Liberty University (2022).

Pastor Jason has been married to his wife Sheryl for 27 years. They have two chihuahuas and one Maine Coon cat.

Nicholas Lloyd has served as the Music Director at Prospect Baptist Church since 2020. In addition to his role at the church, he is a Band Director with Sevier County Schools.

Nicholas earned a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Master of Music in Conducting from Messiah University in Pennsylvania. During his time at UT, he was a member of the Pride of the Southland Band and performed in several ensembles, including the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Saxophone Ensemble, and the Utopia Saxophone Quartet.

A lifelong member of Prospect Baptist Church, Nicholas also serves as the church’s Lead Audio and Visual Engineer. He and his wife, Alyssa, have been married for three years and are the proud parents of their one-year-old son, Julian.

Bruce Suddarth serves as the Student Ministry Director. He is passionate about helping students grow in their faith and deepen their love for the Lord. With 25 years of experience in youth ministry including serving as the Assistant Camp Director at Camp Ba-Yo-Ca in Wears Valley, Bruce joined the staff in September 2024. A native of East Tennessee, he currently lives in Walland, TN.

In addition to his ministry work, Bruce teaches welding at William Blount High School and serves as an assistant football coach. He is married to Melody, and together they have two daughters and four grandchildren.
