Master Notes
Master's first complete video of this show. The first 2 minutes of Act 1 and the first 5 minutes of Act 2 are audio only due to usher activity. Other than that, there are only a couple short dropouts. The start of Act 2 is wide blindshot but gets better after a few minutes. Act 1 has an annoying head that covers some of stage left (somebody sat right in front of me roughly one minute into the show) but the head is gone in Act 2. Some readjustment, washout, and pixelation throughout. A good mix of mediums and closeups with a few wideshots. Shot from Mezz Left.

Excellent 4K capture of this stunning non-replica, regional production of Frozen. Shot with a mix of mediums, wides, and close-ups, with some more wideshots to capture choreography and the effects/projections used for the magic. Video is shot at a bit of an angle from time to time, but is usually corrected as soon as possible, and has one brief dropout during Act 2 due to usher activity which lasts for about 25 seconds. Beautiful performances from this exceptionally talented cast!

Closing performance. This is arguably the best of the four. 4K and 1080p, from right mezzanine. Very steady filming. Almost no obstructions—minimal heads in house-right side on widest shots. About 1-minute dropout during Finale when house lights come up. Includes curtain call. Funny mishap when Denée's slipper flew into the audience, causing her to break while Sara went to retrieve it. NPH and Gavin Creel were a little extra goofy, too.

Filmed in 4K, released in 1080p and 4K. The very first preview of the Broadway transfer from Encores! earlier in the year. A great capture of Eliza's Matilda, and she's fantastic in the role. There are a few heads at the bottom of the screen, but they are easily worked around so they rarely affect the action. There are some quick dropouts in each act, and Telly is audio only while the house lights are on, but there are no other major blackouts. It's filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, encore, and playbill scans.
