Prores (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Prores Android application (the “App”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App to view sensor readings (Oxygen, Moisture, and Pressure) from your scientific equipment.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.
The App connects to your scientific equipment and processes the following data, which is synced to AWS cloud storage:
Oxygen level readings
Moisture level readings
Pressure readings
Device identifiers of the equipment (e.g., model, serial code, firmware version)
Timestamps associated with each reading
This data is used to display current and historical readings within the App and to enable cloud backup for access across devices.
We collect limited technical data such as:
App version and device operating system
Anonymous crash reports and performance metrics
IP address and device identifiers for cloud sync authentication
This information helps us maintain App reliability and secure AWS data access.
By default, the App does not require personal information. If you voluntarily provide contact details (e.g., for support), we use it only to respond to your request.
We use the information for:
Displaying real-time and historical Oxygen, Moisture, and Pressure readings
Storing sensor history in AWS cloud for backup and multi-device sync
Diagnosing issues and improving App performance
Complying with legal obligations
We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
Sensor data is stored securely in AWS cloud servers with encryption at rest and in transit.
Data transfers use HTTPS/TLS protocols to AWS.
Storage duration matches your App usage or as required by law; you can delete data via App settings or by contacting us.
We process data under legitimate interests (service delivery) or contract performance. For EU users (GDPR), you have rights to access, rectify, or erase your data.
The App uses:
AWS (Amazon Web Services) for cloud storage and sync
Google Play Services for core Android functionality
