PromptPi! ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome Extension handles your data. We operate with a "Privacy First" philosophy: your data belongs to you.
Image Data: When you use PromptPi! to analyze an image (via upload, drag-and-drop, or the hover button), the image data is transmitted securely to our processing server (api.huapood.com) and then to the Pollinations.ai API for analysis. This data is transient. We do not store, archive, or use your images for model training. Once the analysis is complete, the image data is discarded from our processing pipeline.
Authentication Data: If you choose to sign in with Google, we collect your email address and basic profile information solely to verify your identity. This allows us to sync your usage limits across devices and provide increased generation quotas. We do not sell or share your contact information.
Usage Statistics: We process minimal usage data (e.g., "User X generated 5 images today") to enforce daily rate limits and prevent abuse of our API.
User Preferences: Settings such as your selected AI model, language preference, and interface toggles are stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API.
API Keys: Your personal API keys (e.g., Pollinations Key) are stored locally in your browser. When you make a request, this key is transmitted securely via our proxy server solely to authenticate your request with the AI provider. We do not log or store your API keys on our servers.
PromptPi! acts as a bridge to third-party AI services. By using this extension, you acknowledge that data is processed by:
Pollinations.ai: Used for image-to-text generation. Please refer to Pollinations.ai's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle transient data.
Google OAuth: Used for secure user authentication. Please refer to their respective Privacy Policies for details on how they handle data.
All communication between the extension, our proxy server, and third-party APIs occurs over encrypted HTTPS connections. We implement strict rate limiting and origin checks to protect our infrastructure.
Access & Deletion: You may disconnect your Google Account at any time via the extension settings. Since usage data is reset daily and not permanently archived, there is no historical tracking profile to delete. You can clear local settings by uninstalling the extension.
