Applies to: Prompt Kit Android app
Prompt Kit is an app that gives you ready-made prompts for image generation, video generation, professional emails, tone and grammar fixing, marketing copy, and social captions. When you tap Copy and Open, Prompt Kit copies the prompt text to your clipboard and opens a third-party AI tool of your choice. Prompt Kit itself never generates, stores, or processes any AI content. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the app, why, and the choices you have.
1. Scope
This policy covers the Prompt Kit Android app, published by an individual developer, and will extend to the iOS version when it becomes available. It does not cover any third-party AI tool (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Leonardo AI) that opens after you tap Copy and Open. Once you leave Prompt Kit, that tool's own privacy policy applies. Links to each tool are listed in section 11.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
Prompt Kit currently requires no account and no sign-in to browse, view, or copy prompts. A future update may add optional sign-in (Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, or a passwordless email link/code) so you can save favorite prompts and sync them across devices. If you choose to sign in, we receive only your name, email address, and profile photo as provided by that sign-in method. Signing in will remain fully optional and will never gate browsing or the core Copy and Open flow.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and app info: device model, operating system version, language, screen size, app version.
- Advertising identifier: your Android Advertising ID (or a reset/limited version of it), used by ad networks to serve and measure ads.
- Approximate location: estimated from your IP address by ad networks for regional targeting and legal compliance. Prompt Kit does not request GPS or precise location permission.
- Usage data: categories and prompts you view, trending/view-count interactions, screens visited, and button taps such as Copy and Open.
- Diagnostics: crash reports and performance logs, used to fix bugs.
- IP address: collected transiently by ad and analytics SDKs for fraud prevention and geotargeting.
2.3 Clipboard
When you tap Copy and Open, Prompt Kit copies the selected prompt's text to your device clipboard so you can paste it into the AI tool that opens. This happens entirely on your device. Prompt Kit does not read, log, or transmit clipboard contents to any server.
2.4 What we don't collect
Prompt Kit does not collect payment or financial details (there are no in-app purchases), precise GPS location, your contacts, photos or files on your device, SMS or call logs, or health data.
3. How we use this information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the app and its prompt content.
- Show banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads, personalized where you've consented, non-personalized otherwise.
- Measure ad performance, detect invalid traffic, and prevent ad fraud.
- Understand which categories and prompts are most useful, to guide new content.
- Diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
- If you sign in (once available): save your favorite prompts and sync them across your devices.
4. Advertising and third-party SDKs
Prompt Kit is free to use and funded entirely by ads. We don't sell your data. Ads are served through Google AdMob, which uses mediation to route some ad requests to additional networks so you see more relevant ads and the app stays free. Each network below may independently collect the data shown, under its own privacy policy.
Google AdMob
Role: Primary ad serving and mediation for banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads.
Data collected: Advertising ID, IP address, device info, app activity, ad interactions.
Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Ad settings / opt-out: https://adssettings.google.com
LevelPlay (Unity / ironSource)
Role: Mediated ad network, fills additional ad inventory when AdMob has none.
Data collected: Advertising ID, IP address, device info, ad interactions.
Privacy policy: https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
GDPR resources: https://docs.unity.com/en-us/grow/levelplay/platform/legal-resources/ironsource-gdpr-compliance
Meta Audience Network
Role: Mediated ad network, may serve ads based on Meta's ad ecosystem.
Data collected: Advertising ID, IP address, device info; matched to a Meta account only if you have Facebook/Instagram installed with ad personalization on.
Privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
Ad preferences: https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences/ad_settings
InMobi
Role: Mediated ad network, fills additional ad inventory, mainly in Tier 2/3 markets.
Data collected: Advertising ID, IP address, device info, approximate location.
Privacy policy: https://www.inmobi.com/privacy-policy
This list will be kept up to date if additional ad networks are added through mediation in the future.
5. Consent for EEA, UK and Switzerland users
If you're located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, Prompt Kit shows a consent prompt, built on Google's User Messaging Platform, an IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF v2.2) certified consent tool, before showing personalized ads. If you don't consent, or only partially consent, you'll still see ads, but they'll be limited to non-personalized ones. Your choice is shared with AdMob's mediated networks (LevelPlay, Meta Audience Network, InMobi) through the TCF framework and Meta's Additional Consent mechanism, so they respect the same preference.
6. Your rights and choices
Turn off ad personalization
- On your device: Android Settings > Google > Ads > "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (or "Delete advertising ID" on Android 12+).
- Google: manage at adssettings.google.com
- Meta: manage at facebook.com/adpreferences/ad_settings
- Industry-wide: the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org) opt-out pages cover most ad networks, including InMobi and LevelPlay.
If you're in the EEA/UK (GDPR)
You can request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your data, and can object to or restrict certain processing. Email us at the address in section 13, or lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority.
If you're in California (CCPA/CPRA)
You can request to know, delete, or correct your personal information. Using mediated ad networks may count as "sharing" for cross-context advertising. Use the device-level opt-outs above, or email us to submit a Do Not Sell or Share request.
Account deletion
Once optional sign-in is available, you can request deletion of your account and any saved favorites by emailing the address in section 13.
7. Children's privacy
Prompt Kit is a general-audience productivity and creativity tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and ad requests from Prompt Kit are not tagged for child-directed treatment. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the email in section 13 and we will delete it.
8. Data retention
Advertising and analytics data is retained by each SDK provider under its own retention schedule, see the policies linked in section 4. If you sign in once that feature is available, your account and saved favorites are kept until you delete your account. Clipboard content is never retained by us, since it never leaves your device.
9. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections for all app-to-server communication, to protect the information described in this policy. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International data transfers
Our ad and analytics providers, Google, Unity/ironSource, Meta, and InMobi, may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in their own privacy policies (linked in section 4).
11. Third-party AI tools
When you tap Copy and Open, Prompt Kit opens the destination AI tool in an in-app browser tab (Android Custom Tabs), not inside Prompt Kit itself, so your existing login and session with that tool carry over. From that point on, the tool's own privacy policy governs what happens to your data: ChatGPT/OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Leonardo AI. Prompt Kit has no visibility into, and no control over, what happens on these external services.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Prompt Kit adds features such as sign-in or new ad partners. The "Last updated" date at the top will change whenever we do, and material changes will be reflected in the app's store listing or an in-app notice.
13. Contact us
