PromptVault is a free app. By using it, you agree to this policy. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how your data is used.
Account information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. This is used solely to identify your account and enable Google Drive backup.
Content you create
Prompts, categories, titles, descriptions, and notes you save inside the app are stored locally on your device using SQLite. If you enable Google Drive backup, this content is also saved to your personal Google Drive (App Data folder).
Usage data
Firebase and Google AdMob may collect anonymised usage and diagnostic data including crash reports, device type, OS version, and ad interaction events. We do not collect or sell personally identifiable usage data ourselves.

To display ads through Google AdMob to keep the app free
To deliver force-update notifications via Firebase Remote Config

PromptVault uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy.
Google Sign-In — authentication. Google Privacy Policy
Google Drive API — optional backup storage in your personal Drive App Data folder
Firebase (Firestore, Auth, Remote Config) — database, authentication, and remote configuration by Google
Google AdMob — advertising. AdMob may use device identifiers and interest data to personalise ads. AdMob Policy
All prompts are stored locally on your device. If you enable Google Drive backup, your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and stored in your own Google Drive account under the App Data folder — no one else can access it, including us.
We do not operate our own servers that store your prompt content. We do not have access to your prompts at any time.
PromptVault is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's Advertising ID to show relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised ads at any time:
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete Advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation
Blocking ads (via ad blocker apps or Private DNS) may trigger an in-app notice. We do not enforce ad viewing — it is optional, but it helps keep the app free.
PromptVault is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Access — all your prompts are visible directly inside the app at all times
Deletion — delete any prompt or category from within the app. To delete your Google Drive backup, remove the app from your Google account's connected apps
Portability — use the export/backup feature to download your data
Revoke access — disconnect Google Sign-In at any time via Google Account → Security → Third-party apps
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Significant changes will be notified via an in-app message. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
