Yesim is a travel eSIM provider, which means the data plan is installed digitally rather than posted to you as a plastic SIM. Go to yesim.app in a browser, or open the Yesim app on iOS or Android. Search for your destination and compare what comes back. Yesim sells:
fixed packages, with a set amount of data for a set number of days
country, regional and multi-country or global bundles
a pay-as-you-go option, where you top up credit and pay only for the data you use
If your trip crosses borders, look closely at the regional and global bundles: the same eSIM can stay active as you move between countries on those plans. Coverage lists for the various global products do not necessarily match one another, so check the exact countries included rather than assuming.
Add your chosen plan and continue to checkout. On the checkout page, look for the field labelled "Redeem code". On some layouts it sits collapsed inside the order summary, so you may need to expand that section before the input box appears. This field is the only place the discount is applied; there is no separate coupon page.
Type EDC15 into the "Redeem code" field and apply it. The 15% discount is reflected in the order total instantly, so you can see the change before you commit. Take a second to compare the before and after figures and confirm the total has genuinely dropped by 15%. If the new total does not look right, re-enter the code rather than authorising payment and hoping it is corrected later.
Two things are not documented and should be checked on site at this stage:
whether EDC15 stacks with in-app credit, a seasonal sale or any other running offer
whether EDC15 applies to virtual number purchases or credit top-ups, as opposed to data packages
If the discount fails to register on a top-up or virtual number order, that is the likely reason.
Complete payment, then install the eSIM. There are two routes: scan the QR code provided, or install through the Yesim app. Activation is usually quick — Yesim describes it as taking a couple of minutes, with the full process generally landing in the 5 to 10 minute range after setup. Doing this on a stable home Wi-Fi connection before you travel is easier than attempting it in an unfamiliar airport.
Yesim operates as an MVNO. It does not own towers; it buys wholesale access from partners, working with over 800 local mobile operators worldwide. In practice that means your speed depends on which local partner network serves your destination, and it can vary from one country to the next on the same plan.
If you chose pay-as-you-go or plan to top up later, note that Ycoins are the in-app currency used for balance top-ups, and auto-refill for Ycoins is switched on automatically after your first top-up unless you turn it off. A first-time user who does not want repeat charges should find that setting and disable it once the initial top-up goes through.
Confirm your phone supports eSIM.
Search your destination on yesim.app or in the app.
Choose a country, regional, global or pay-as-you-go option.
Continue to checkout and expand the order summary if needed.
Enter EDC15 in the "Redeem code" field and apply.
Check the total fell by 15%, then pay.
Install via QR code or the app and allow a few minutes for activation.
