Funding Traders is a proprietary trading firm rather than a broker. You pay a one-off fee for a simulated account with fixed risk rules, and meeting the profit target within those rules leads to funding and a share of simulated profits paid as performance rewards. The code GETFUNDED applies a 50% discount to that purchase fee at checkout.
The important point for all three scenarios below is that the discount touches the price and nothing else. It does not add capital, change the drawdown limits, or improve the profit split. The exact fee for each model and account size is not stated here, so check the product page for the current figure before assuming what half price looks like on your order.
A trader who has never used Funding Traders wants to see how execution and the payout process actually work rather than buy the largest account available. Account sizes run from $5,000 to $400,000, so the smallest end of that range suits a trial run.
A two-step challenge fits this purpose. It has two evaluation phases with separate profit targets and generally the most forgiving drawdown structure, which suits a trader who is still learning how the firm's rules interact with their strategy. The trade-off is that it is the slowest route to payout. With the discount applied, the cost of that trial is halved, which is the main reason this path appeals to someone whose goal is information rather than income. Before buying, they should confirm the profit target, daily loss limit, drawdown type and minimum trading days on the product page, since these vary by model and account size.
A trader with a tested, rule-consistent strategy is less interested in a trial and more interested in getting sizeable capital cheaply. A one-step challenge has a single evaluation phase, usually with tighter risk parameters, so it is quicker to clear but less tolerant of a drawdown mistake.
This trader should be clear that halving the fee does not soften those tighter parameters. What the discount does change is the cost of a second attempt if the first one fails, and the cost per dollar of simulated capital accessed. Profit splits start at 80% and can rise to 90% or 100% through upgrades and performance milestones, and scaling is available for consistently profitable traders — none of which is affected by the code either way. Whether EAs, hedging, news trading and overnight or weekend holds are permitted is not stated and should be checked for the specific program.
A third trader does not want to sit through an evaluation at all and chooses instant funding. There is no evaluation phase, but the conditions are stricter, and the rules here deserve close reading.
On instant funding accounts, the first 3% of profit is non-withdrawable and acts as a buffer for the maximum drawdown limit. If that 3% cushion is included in a payout request, the account is marked failed, although the payout is still processed. The maximum drawdown on these accounts also does not reset after a payout. Buying at half price does not change any of this, so a trader picking this route on cost grounds alone may be choosing the model least suited to how they trade.
Go to fundingtraders.com and open the challenge or funding page.
Choose the model (one-step, two-step or instant), account size and platform or add-on options.
Add the account to the cart and continue to checkout, entering name, email and billing details.
Enter GETFUNDED in the promo or discount code field, usually beside the order summary or behind a "have a code?" link, and apply it.
Check the total has dropped by 50% and that the discount appears as its own line before paying.
Pay by card or crypto, depending on what is offered at the time.
Platform credentials for MetaTrader 5 or TradeLocker are typically emailed and shown in the dashboard once payment clears. Prop firm codes are usually one per order and do not stack with other promotions, and the code must be applied before payment, as retroactive discounts are rarely granted. Confirm country eligibility first. Accounts are simulated and trading carries a real risk of loss.
