Privacy Policy for Promise Pods

Gigglemaker (“Gigglemaker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Promise Pods mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
We collect information you choose to provide while using Promise Pods, including:
- your username and, if you choose to connect a Google account, your Google account name, email address, and profile picture;
- your profile photo, if you upload one;
- pod information, including pod names, invitations, member lists, shared promises, logs, rewards, disputes, and related messages or reasons;
- content you submit in reports, blocks, or support requests; and
- your acceptance of our Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy.
Promise Pods permits people to share content with other members of a pod. Please do not post personal information that you would not want pod members to see.
Account and device information
The App may create an anonymous account so you can use it before you connect a Google account. We process account identifiers needed to provide and secure the App. If you connect Google Sign-In, Google and Firebase Authentication process information needed to authenticate you.
We also collect or receive a Firebase Cloud Messaging device token and notification preferences so we can deliver notifications about activity in your pods. Our service providers may process technical information such as IP address, device/browser information, and service logs to operate, secure, and troubleshoot their services.
Information we do not intentionally collect
The current version of the App does not request or access your contacts, precise location, microphone, or advertising identifier for advertising. It does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and maintain accounts and pods;
- let you invite and interact with pod members;
- display, store, and manage shared logs, rewards, disputes, and photos;
- provide account backup and Google sign-in when you choose it;
- send requested or enabled push notifications;
- respond to support requests, reports, and blocks;
- protect the App, prevent abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with law; and
- maintain, debug, and improve the App.
3. How we share information
We share information only as described below:
- With pod members. Information you add to a pod—such as your username, profile photo, pod activity, logs, rewards, and dispute information—is visible to the members of that pod as necessary for the App to function.
- With service providers. We use Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Firebase Cloud Messaging, to provide the App. These providers process information on our behalf to host data, authenticate users, store photos and pod content, run backend features, and deliver notifications. - For legal, safety, and enforcement reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect people or property, investigate abuse, or enforce our Terms.
- Business transfer. If Gigglemaker is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to operate Promise Pods, resolve disputes, maintain security, meet legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.
You can request account deletion in the App through **Settings → Delete account**. We will delete your account and associated profile data from our active systems, subject to limited retention where required or permitted for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, backup, or recordkeeping purposes. Content shared with other pod members may remain available where needed to preserve the integrity of their shared pod history, unless it is deleted with the pod or otherwise removed under our retention practices.
To request deletion help or ask about your data, email gigglemakerar@gmail.com from the email associated with your account, if applicable.
5. Your choices and rights
You can:
- update certain profile information in the App;
- choose whether to connect a Google account;
- manage notification permissions in your device settings and notification preferences in the App;
- block other users and report users or content in the App; and
- request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law. We will respond to requests in accordance with applicable law and may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. Promise Pods uses Firebase services, which use security measures such as encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International processing
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from those in your country. Firebase services may process or store data on Google’s global infrastructure; Firebase Authentication is operated from United States data centers. 8. Children
Promise Pods is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at gigglemakerar@gmail.com, and we will take appropriate steps to address the request.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the App and on this page, and will update the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice where required by law.
