On Sept. 1, 2021, several team members intercepted the Mullica Hill, New Jersey, tornado and assisted in search and rescue efforts before first responders arrived. Shaken by the devastation, the team was motivated to pursue tornadogenesis research to help mitigate the loss of life and property from these natural disasters...
