How can points be verified?

When filling out the point submission form located on the "Ranks" tab, photo uploads are required. Simply take a photo of your recycling and upload it through the form.

How do you earn points?

Points can be earned by submitting pictures of your recycling and/or of the receipt you receive after taking your recycling to a recycling center. Different recyclables receive different amounts of points, the details can be found on the "Points" page.

How does the leaderboard work?

As you recycle more and submit for more points, that number of points will determine your place on the leader board. The more points you have, the higher you are on the leader board.

What is our mission?

We created this website to encourage more people to recycle through incentivization and the creation of a leader board. Since Fairfax County no longer usually accepts glass through curbside recycling, this website aims to motivate people to get out and recycle their glass among other recyclables.

Who is behind the Idea?

Our team is composed of Kaiely Morales Campos, Caroline Cantillo, and Nikki Koyyalamudy, three students from West Springfield High School. We have a passion and a drive to help not only others, but the world. We believe this project will help communities, fostering a sense of unity, while also helping our environment.
