Project NLX is a naloxone initiative project founded in California and run by volunteers. We are committed to increasing access to naloxone to STOP and PREVENT opioid overdose DEATHS in the SF Bay Area and beyond.
Mission Statement:
Increase awareness on Naloxone, a medicine that rapidly reverses an opioid overdose and save lives.
Improve accessibility to Naloxone and necessary treatments/services in communities for patients who are currently taking prescribed opioids in high doses, for individuals who misuse prescription opioids or use illicit opioids, and for the family and friends of people who are at high risk.
STOP and PREVENT the DEATHS caused by opioid overdose in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, especially considering the effects of COVID-19 on the opioid epidemic.

What We Do:
Increase public awareness about Naloxone and create communication campaigns
Advocate for co-prescriptions of opioids and Naloxone
Provide medication safety education to youth and the public
Offer resources for public health education and training
Conduct biomedical research for public safety and evidence-based policy recommendations
Empower local leaders to implement local solutions, such as changing school or community-wide policies and designing communication campaigns
