Welcome to the Project LEARN Digital Literacy and Work Readiness Resource Site! On this site, you will find resources to help you prepare for the Northstar Digital Literacy modules. You will also find a number of resources to help you prepare a resume, get ready for an interview, etc. EMTR runs in person and virtual sessions covering these topics. Contact Kathy Dias, Employment Specialist at 401-699-5507 to schedule a session. Your teacher or case manager may also want you to enroll in our class on Google Classroom. See the section below for more information regarding that.
Google Classroom
Please join the Digital Literacy and Work Readiness class on Google Classroom by adding the following code:

This will give you access to useful templates for your resume and beyond. Google Classroom is also the portal for submitting your Northstar Digital Literacy certifications.
Virtual digital literacy sessions are offered via ZOOM twice per week on Monday from 10 AM to 11 AM and Thursday from 1 PM to 2PM.
Take your time with these resources. There is a lot of information to absorb here. This resource site is updated on a regular basis, so check in frequently. It can also be accessed from any device. If you are getting stuck on a particular question on the Northstar tests, scroll down to the very bottom of the page and click on the "Ready for a Deeper Dive?" link. That will take you to very specific lessons.
You can take practice tests here: www.digitalliteracyassessment.org. You can also find a link to the Northstar page under the "Standards for Essential Computer Skills" sections for each page of the study guide.
Many of the videos featured in these lessons are from www.gcflearnfree.org. They have excellent lessons to further your digital literacy skills and more.
Click the lessons in the menu to begin. I hope you find this helpful!
