An Overview
As the internet age moves into what is sometimes called Web 3.0, a new iteration of the World Wide Web incorporates concepts such as decentralization, blockchain technologies, and token-based economics (Fenwick, 2022). We wish to get to know if our K-12 teachers and support staff feel comfortable implementing technology in new ways and what training or education they need to improve.
Description of the Target Audience
K-12 teachers and support staff at a small-sized school in the United States. The primary source of the data being collected is teachers from a Texas elementary school that serves grades 1-6, with a state accountability rating of A. The designated school is in Eagle Pass, Texas. Our data is being collected from experienced classroom teachers with more than one year in the educational field who are technologically adept and have completed their designated teacher training for the year.

Purpose of the Needs Assessment
A survey for teachers was developed to collect information regarding the current technology capacity of their classrooms. In addition to the access questions, the survey solicited information regarding their preparation and professional development opportunities in technology.
How comfortable are staff using technology to increase student engagement in their learning? Do staff feel they have the proper training to continue to improve on this goal? What training would staff like to see and receive for the application of technology in the classroom?
