The ESP based water sensors in the Precision Irrigation System are responsible for measuring mainly moisture and various other parameters in soil depending on various sensors implemented. The system is designed to relay the collected data across all the nodes wirelessly spread throughout the farm, where each node keeps adding its own data. At last, data of all nodes is received at the coordinator, from where it is sent to the cloud. Thus the system implemented is a Level 5 IoT system.
The ability to relay data across the farm wirelessly makes the system standout from the traditional ones which use wires. The use of wires in the farm causes additional hassle also these wires can be damaged during farming practices and thus rendering the system useless.
Also the whole system is integrated with Artificial Intelligence which controls the amount of water to be dispensed depending on crop, weather conditions, sensor values making it way more efficient. All sensor data is synced with the cloud and is available on the App for users to view anytime.
