Nurture a Culture of Innovation in Your School

A culture of innovation helps teachers and staff embrace the opportunities inherent in change and learn from the successes and failures along the way. It can also help educators respond to the challenges of preparing students for success in a rapidly changing world.

Project Culture Shift is a guided process that helps schools create rituals and routines that foster a culture of innovation among teachers, staff, and leaders, who can then work to create that culture for students. A Project Culture Shift leader facilitates two workshops to help groups of stakeholders do the following:

• Explore and envision a culture of innovation in their school or district
• Design and plan rituals and routines to support innovation among teachers and staff

Anyone can freely use these resources in their school. You can also consider bringing in an outside facilitator to lead the process. Talk to one of these Project Culture Shift Experts for advice or to help facilitate Project Culture Shift in your schools.
