LAB Sessions

Our at-home learning programs are broken up into weekly lesson plans and require very little setup. We are Project co|LAB, and we teach underprivileged children English, through our writing and reading sessions called the LAB sessions. 

First, volunteers and kids introduce themselves and get to know each other. 

Then we do an Icebreaker game, which is a fun interactive game that all the kids get to play.  

Now, volunteers will read a simple and interesting English book to the kids and ask them interactive questions. 

After story reading, the kids will move on to writing stories themselves. Volunteers guide them in 1-to-1 sessions to write an enthralling fictional story or a small argumentative piece.

Finally, the participants will regroup, recap what the children learned from the session, and answer any unasked questions.
