Introduction
Project Rift is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy tells you what information Project Rift collects when you use Project Rift, how Project Rift uses it and how you can ask for your data to be deleted. This policy applies to the Project Rift application that you get from Meta AppLab and any other services that Project Rift offers, including the Project Rift Discord community.
Information Project Rift Collects
When you use Project Rift, Project Rift may collect some information from you. This includes:
* Device information like the model of your headset and the version of your operating system
* Information about how you use Project Rift like how you play and what you do in the game
* Information about how you move and where you are in the game, which Project Rift uses to make the game work properly
* Your Meta Horizon username, which Project Rift uses to identify you in the game
* Your IP address, which Project Rift uses to connect you to the server
* Information about crashes and errors which Project Rift uses to fix bugs
Project Rift does not collect your name, email address, payment information or any other sensitive personal information.
How Project Rift Uses Your Data
Project Rift uses your data to make Project Rift work better to fix crashes and bugs to keep the servers running smoothly and to stop cheating. Project Rift does not sell, rent or share your data with anyone
Third-Party Services
Project Rift works on the Meta Quest platform, which has its privacy policy. The Project Rift Discord community is also governed by Discords privacy policy. Project Rift does not share your data with anyone
Data Retention
Project Rift keeps your data as long as Project Rift needs it to make the service work. When Project Rift does not need your data anymore it gets deleted. If you want your data to be deleted Project Rift will do it within 30 days.
Childrens Privacy
Project Rift is for people who're 13 years old or older. Project Rift does not collect data from children under 13. If Project Rift finds out that it has collected data from someone under 13 it will delete that data away.
Your Rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. If you want your data to be deleted you can contact Project Rift with the line "Data Deletion Request" and include your Meta Horizon username. Project Rift will get back to you within 30 days.
Changes to This Policy
Project Rift may update this policy sometimes. The date at the top will show when the policy was last updated. If there are any changes Project Rift will announce them in the Project Rift Discord server.
