Prepare / Prepárate

• 1. Review application requirements, gather required materials (e.g., transcripts, personal statements, references), and reflect on your experiences and goals related to working with children with autism and developmental disabilities and their families—particularly within multilingual and multicultural communities.

  2. Attend both UNM SHS and Project MESA information sessions to learn more about the programs, expectations, and application processes. Although not a requirement to apply, it is helpful information to guide you throughout the process. See Information Sessions Details below. 

Apply / Postúlate

• Apply to the University of New Mexico's Speech and Hearing Sciences Master's program by February 1st, 2027 at 11:59PM. 

  • For the University of New Mexico's Master of Science (MS) Speech and Hearing Sciences Program application, visit Apply to the Master's of Science Program

• Submit Project MESA written application by February 15th, 2027 at 11:59PM. 

  • To complete the Project MESA written application, visit Project MESA Application 

• Interview Process: If you are selected to move forward in the application process, you will complete a virtual interview with the advisory board in mid-March 2027.
