We learned about the devastating fire tragedy that broke out in a Badjao community in Brgy. Wawa, Batangas city. The said incident left about 137 Badjao families homeless, hopeless and uncertain of the future. We just cannot afford to see them in this dire condition.
Project Katutubo immediately called for your help and we did not fail. In a short span of time, many of you responded with prayers, in-kind and cash donations.
We are happy to share with you that with your donations, we were able to send help to 137 Badjao families last weekend. We would also like to thank our partner organizations and volunteers who helped in this operation.
During ECQ period in Luzon and many parts of the country, PK and its sponsors/volunteers has organized relief operations from which a number of indigenous communities received aid. One of them are the Dumagats of Isabela.
"The only way we can get through this is if we think as we and not as me." We can't leave anyone behind. We fight strong and achieve more when we're together.
Again, a huge thanks to all our katutubo volunteers for your unparalled support.
