OUR MISSION
Project Graduation is a nation-wide movement designed to provide alcohol and drug-free activities for high school seniors on graduation night. It was established as a result of a tragedy that occured in 1979 where seven teenagers died from alcohol and other drug activity after graduation in Oxford Hills, Maine. The community was devastated and came together to create an alternative to the traditional graduation night drinking parties. They created a chemical free party for the class of 1980 and it was a huge success. Soon it was adopted as a major program initiative by the Division of Alcohol and Drug Education Services. By 1986, Project Graduation was held in all 50 states.
Our mission is to create fun, organized, and adult-supervised activites for White Salmon seniors on graduation night so that students have a safe and inclusive way to celebrate with their classmates.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
