The project was originally intended to cover basic topics about multimedia compression, network protocols, and the difficulties of streaming multimedia data. These topics were then covered in lectures and so the focus of the project had to narrow its scope and go beyond the projected depth for some of the topics.

The topic then shifted to focus on multimedia Quality of Service in internet architectures. The topics covered by this project are: A brief history of multimedia QoS, an in-depth look at integrated services, RSVP, and differentiated services.
