Project BEWARE's primary goal is to get pupils ready for the potential for a volcanic explosion, specifically one from the Taal volcano. The project is to draw attention to how unpredictable these kinds of incidents can be, inform students about the health hazards and other related calamities that can arise from volcanic activity, and provide them with the information they need to react correctly in the case of an eruption.
The key objectives of the project involve handing out fliers to schools in the Balayan area with updates and information about the state of the Taal volcano.
Students and anyone else interested can learn about safety precautions during a disaster by visiting the Facebook page for this project. Videos, animations, and infographics will be used to communicate information regarding the Taal volcano's present activity as well as response protocols.
