OPTIONS FOR COLLEGE CREDITS
ON CAMPUS
AP Courses are taught at GHS and are set at the highest academic challenge for high school curriculum. These are “beyond honors” programs that allow students to prepare for the AP Exam each spring. The AP Exam scores are shared with the schools identified by the student and scores are sent to the school the senior ultimately decides to attend. Exams are graded on a scale of 1-5, with five being the highest score possible. Many schools accept a “three” for credit on AP Exams, but most require scores of 4 or 5 to replace courses or to transfer credits as electives. Each college/University handles this in their own way. Exams are $98 each, and there are reduced costs for families who qualify.
New to GHS! A number of our honors and AP courses will also be available for RMU credits. The students must earn a passing grade for the course as determined by GHS to receive the RMU credits. The cost is $250 per class including classes with labs.
