Dr. Sudip Jana is an Indian-born theoretical physicist specializing in particle and astroparticle physics, with a focus on neutrino physics and physics beyond the Standard Model. He received his Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University (USA) in 2019 and has conducted research as a visiting scientist at leading international institutions, including Fermilab, CERN, Harvard University, the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics, ICTP–SAIFR, and Washington University in St. Louis, in addition to holding a long-term postdoctoral position at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics (Germany).
He has authored more than 80 research articles, with over 5000 citations, including publications in premier journals such as Physical Review Letters. Several of his works have been featured in scientific news outlets and are closely connected to ongoing and future experimental programs. In 2026, he was elected as an Associate of the Indian Academy of Sciences and is a member of the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) collaboration.
