1) Titling documents -- Give your documents a proper name. I receive many assignments that are titled "assignment" or "document." Consider that you may need to find that assignment again. Also consider the formality of submitting such a titled document. A suggestion is something like LastName_PaperTitle.
2 ) Font and spacing -- Try to be cognizant of spacing and consistent fonts. A lack of either is one of the first red flags of an assignment being plagiarized or done without much editing or effort. As a formality, strong academic work looks formatted before even read.
3) Organization of Info -- Part of the challenge of writing information is organizing information. Even on smaller assignments, some efforts of even showing that a writer has intended a paragraph is huge. Also, consider when an assignment has a structure that is to be worked with and try to signal that the assignment was intended in the organization to be towards that assignment.
4) Etiquette of Submitting Assignments -- Please do not email assignments, particularly with no subject line. Would you open an email with a random document with no context? Many cyber security firms would advise not to. Try to take care and effort of when/where an assignment is to supposed to be submitted and how. Ask questions if unsure. If you need to email about a submission not going through or some issue of accessibility, make sure to state so.
