Dr. Sandeep Chhoker is working as Professor at the Department of Physics and Material Science and Engineering of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, India. He is actively involved in the research areas of catalysis, VLSI, energy and Optoelectronics. He has engaged himself in UG as well as PG teaching through variety of courses. He has published several peer reviewed articles and attended international and national conferences. His current area of research is vacuum synthesis of 1D and 2D nanostructures for optical, sensing, energy and catalytic applications. He is also reviewer of many international journals. He has worked at Thin Films Laboratory, Physics Department, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi for his PhD and completed his doctoral thesis on topic “Growth and field emission properties of carbon nanostructures synthesized by microwave plasma enhanced CVD process” successfully with Prof V. D. Vankar as supervisor. He is also a recipient of JRF and SRF awards from CSIR. Prof. Chhoker holds a PG degree in Physics from IIT Roorkee.
