Sabita Maharjan is a Full Professor at the Department of Informatics, University of Oslo, Norway, and a Principal Research Scientist (Adjunct position) at NAAMII, Nepal. Prof. Maharjan received her Ph.D. degree in Networks and Distributed Systems from University of Oslo, and Simula Research Laboratory, Norway, in 2013. She worked as a Research Engineer in Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Singapore in 2010. She was a Visiting Scholar at Zhejiang Univeristy (ZU), Hangzhou, China in 2011, and a Visiting Research Collaborator in University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC) in 2012. She is the author of more than 65 articles that include her publications in prestigious journals in her field such as IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Network Magazine, IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine and IEEE Internet of Things Journal. She serves/has served as the Guest Editor for journals such as IET Cyber Physical Systems and IEEE Access, and in the Technical Program Committee of conferences including top conferences like IEEE INFOCOM and IEEE IWQoS, summer schools, winter schools and research seminars with more than 100 participants. She is the recipient of three Best Paper AWARDS: IEEE SCALCOM 2015, IEEE CS CLOUD 2016, and IEEE ICCT 2019. From June 2020, She is the Vice-Chair of the IEEE TCGCC SIG on Green AI. Her current research interests include vehicular networks and 5G, network security, Internet of Energy, Mobile Edge Computing, and computation intelligence.
