Invited for a Guest lecture on ‘Women in Civil Society: A Case Study of Mumbai’ to the University of Sacramento, California in May 2009.

Invited to participate in the European Summer School in Cultural Studies at Copenhagen in August 2009 on the theme Cultural Life of Catastrophes and Crises funded by the European Union.

Invited as Professor Mentor to participate in the Insight Dubai Conference organised by the Dubai Women’s College (College of Higher Technologies) in April 2010 and March 2011 for five days each with a group of undergraduate and graduate students.

Completed the Avabai Wadia Research Fellowship awarded in 2011 by the K.R.Cama Oriental Institute for a post-doctoral project on “Restaurant Culture in Suburban Mumbai: The Impact of Globalization on Public Dining” in 2014.

Completed a UGC Minor Research Project awarded in 2007 for a post-doctoral project on “Situating Colonial Hospitality in Nineteenth Century Bombay” in 2009.

Completed an MMRDA Heritage Conservation Project where I was appointed Research Associate for a project titled, ‘Listing Present Fabric Status and Conservation Plan For Fountains and Pyavs in the city of Mumbai’ in 2007.

Completed a University of Mumbai Research Project awarded in 2003 on ‘Mohalla Committees in Mumbai: Role of Civil Society in Communal Harmony’, in 2004. This was a joint project with Professor Uttara Sahasrabuddhe, Dept. of Politics.
