More on the Module
Learning in the Digital Future is a module for second-year students in the BA program in Education at the University of Nottingham.
Focus: How digital technologies are changing the ways in which people learn.
Students are expected to
explore both well-researched and cutting-edge technologies;
examine complex social aspects of technological change to critically assess how technology is affecting equity in educational outcomes and whether technological change in the workplace and home is fundamentally changing what education should achieve; and
participate in hands-on design experiences to prototype and develop digital learning environments (module project).

Glossary: Part 1
Part 1 of the glossary covers basic concepts related to the role of digital technologies in education, such as affordances, informal vs. formal learning, lifeworld, multimodality, etc. The document provides definitions of these concepts, as well as includes references and links to additional resources.
