I teach chemistry at Bryant with an emphasis on helping students build chemical reasoning through discussion, laboratory work, and practice. My path to Bryant includes more than 15 years of chemistry teaching and curriculum development, including work at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and the Community College of Baltimore County.

My background spans biochemistry, chemical and biomolecular engineering, and molecular biology research at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I have also mentored young researchers through Biophysics Research for Baltimore Teens. I enjoy helping students connect models and equations to the evidence they see in the lab.

Teaching

My goal is to make chemistry rigorous and approachable: to understand why a method works, explain a result, and reason through unfamiliar problems, rather than memorize a sequence of steps.

Outside the Classroom

Outside campus, I enjoy drumming, science fiction, outdoor bouldering at Lincoln Woods, mountain biking, and time with family.
